Our commitment
NZ Collective Ltd is committed to making Flowerable accessible to everyone — including people with disabilities, those using assistive technologies, and those on slower connections or older devices.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a minimum standard.
What we've done
- All images include descriptive alt text
- The site uses semantic HTML elements with proper heading hierarchy
- Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
- Interactive elements are keyboard-navigable
- Focus states are visible for keyboard users
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- We do not rely solely on colour to convey information
- Structured data (schema.org) is provided for key content types
Known limitations
We are a small team and, while we strive for full accessibility, there may be areas of the site that do not yet meet all guidelines. Known limitations include:
- Some older content may have limited alt text detail
- Complex interactive components (such as the occasion carousel) may have limited screen reader support
We are working to address these issues as part of our ongoing development.
